Built on high quality, service and uncompromising ethics, Building Futures Incorporated (BFI) is a charitable 501(c)3 tax exempt nonprofit organization designed to EMPOWER today's youth and young adults become the NEXT GENERATION OF LEADERS! Building Futures Incorporated was established to significantly change the lives of today’s youth & young adults, by providing mobile self-development programs and services. We also support children from financially distressed families by donating backpacks and school supplies during our annual backpack drive.

Building Futures Incorporated was implemented to support the members of our community in their time of need, and work towards a greater good. We are tireless in our efforts to improve the conditions of our communities. Building Futures Incorporated is a vocal advocate for youth empowerment. Our organization is based on the codes and conduct of Philanthropy. GIVING BACK IS KEY! We help those in time of need. Our non-profit organization serves people of all races, creeds, and religions. We do not discriminate. We merely support our fellow citizens, and serve as a guiding light. Our volunteer base is growing at a steady pace. With this growth, we have been able to accomplish more, and have a larger impact upon our community. We welcome new volunteers with open arms. All of these services will further our charitable purpose by enabling the enrolled “at-risk” persons the opportunity to live a better quality of life.

Mobile Programs & Services

In order to accomplish our mission, we conduct the following activities: 

The purpose of this service is to provide a path of social mobility for at-risk individuals. Students will learn effective decision making and critical thinking techniques through our Leadership Academy.

  • The Mission IM-Possible Project -  is a new prevention and enrichment mentoring program designed to engage, educate and empower both male & female students in various activities that develop their social-emotional and professional skills through quantifiable resources. Students will hold annual elections for a position on the Leadership Team. Students will learn important skills such as public speaking, responsibility, competence, maintaining a positive attitude, organization, delegation, problem solving, debating, critical-thinking and time management.

    Meetings are held year-round, on a bi-weekly basis. The Mission IM-Possible Project is divided into 2 divisions:                                                     The Phenomenal Woman Leadership Academy. Stay Tuned for our Male Leadership Division.

This academy is an excellent way for students to learn effective communication, personal development and leadership skills that can be utilized to become successful adults. This leadership academy focuses on real world issues such as Cultural Diversity, Social Policy, Technology, Social Media, Self-Love, Self-Esteem, Self-Respect, Self-Awareness, Peer Pressure, Relationships, Stress Management, Critical Thinking & Problem Solving, Personal Responsibility & Accountability, Mental Health, Nutrition, Etiquette, Higher Education, S.M.A.R.T. Goal Setting (Specific*Measurable*Attainable*Relevancy*Timely), Public Speaking, Dream Building, Drug and Alcohol Prevention, Relationships, Character Building, Resume Building, Mock Interviews, Career Development, Financial Literacy, Philanthropy, etc.​Students will participate in various round table discussions, group activities, field trips, weekend retreats, and much more. 

The “Mission I’M-Possible” Project also has a traveling theatrical prevention and enrichment outreach program catered to students in elementary – high school. By visiting schools, youth clubs, churches and other organizations, BFI's innovative and captivating showcases will educate students through the art of theater and dance on topics such as self-awareness, self-esteem, self-love, self-respect, how to deal with peer pressure, drug and alcohol prevention, bullying, assertiveness, critical-thinking, refusal-skills, personal responsibility, dream building, and the importance of education.

​Through hands-on participation, on and off stage, students will gain reasons to feel positive about themselves and discover unique qualities which they possess. 
The Mission IM-Possible Project will not only empower students to reach for the stars, never give up and realize they are Possible, but help illuminate a self-discovery of purpose filled talents, passion and vision for a successful future.     

Other Components of the Mission IM-Possible Project:


  • 1.  Financial Leaders  - This workshop series teaches the fundamentals of economics and financial management. Students will learn how to plan, direct, monitor, organize and control their monetary resources by participating in financial activities to learn the importance of acquiring and maintaining great credit, opening a bank account, saving, investing, etc. Students will also be required to complete a *MANDATORY ECONOMIC PROJECT*.
  • 2. S.T.E.P.S. - Solutions to Effectively Prevent Suspension - This prevention program is geared towards K-12 grade students, teaching them the necessary problem solving skills to de-escalate and prevent any issues that may cause for suspension or expulsion, hence reducing dropout rates and improving academic performance and proficiency. ​
  • 3. Community Outreach Service Projects - The purpose of community service is to encourage students to embrace social responsibility. Students will understand the importance of giving back through various activities and leave a positive impact throughout the local community and around the world. BFI’s community outreach component, will work with you to provide opportunities for your students to lead service projects and volunteer in their community while building good character traits and receiving community service credit.
  • 4. The Mission I’M-Possible Extension Program: A.C.T.I.V.E. (Advancement for children through improvisation, vocalization & education)​​ -  is a great opportunity for boys and girls to participate in our programs throughout the summer season, using performing arts, imagination and innovation to express their inner “I AM”. A.C.T.I.V.E. will also provide cultivating exposure and expression to students in the form of dance, theater, s.t.e.a.m. and entrepreneurship. This program is a 7 week day camp designed for fun, building friendships, empowerment and learning. Boys and girls from all over the Los Angeles metro area will participate in fun and educational based activities that promote critical-thinking, problem solving skills, empowerment, self-esteem, self-respect, leadership and life skills.
